My favorite design event just took place almost 2 weeks ago, and luckily this year again with the best weather Denmark has to offer. This year’s theme was “Keep it real” what made much more sense to me than the edition last year. What I like so much about 3daysofdesign is the very good organisation, the big amount of talks where you often have the chance to meet the designers who are behind it - and all the get togethers starting from afternoon where the brands purely focus on hosting. Plus you don’t feel as much overwhelmed as during Salone - I hope it will stay like this. What I missed this year compared to 2 years ago for example was more storytelling, staging, activating multiple senses - not only putting a new product into a room.

The list of exhibitors was even bigger than last year with 470 exhibitors, more big names (e.g. Dedar, Flos) that I’ve already seen in Milan and which replicated what’s on show - so tbh I really hope this won’t increase over years and the focus rather stays on Danish or generally Scandinavian brands, because this is why I go there.
Some Danish well-known brands are for me always a safe thing which I go to every year, most of the time in their own showrooms - for example Ferm Living, Muuto, Helle Mardahl - but my favorites will rather highlight debuts there or exhibition I was most surprised by. So here we go:
Home from Home by Charlotte Taylor
I’m such a fan girl of her work and this curation of multiple objects from different designers by Charlotte Taylor at Noura Residency felt like she would live there. You could somehow really feel & see her personality in it. This was exactly what reflected the 3daysofdesign theme “Keep it real”. And then we even met her in person making coffee, couldn’t have been better.

From Here Now by Lee Broom
Lee Broom, who is a leading product designer from UK and is well-known for his global lighting design brand, took over the stunning Asia House with From Here Now - a moody journey through past, present and future. I adore his works and it was the first time to see his products in real life for the very first time.

I especially loved the newly launched portable table lamp CHANT, that is inspired by the glass block architecture from the 70s.
Adorno Design
Adorno Design curated 3 different rooms according to The Perfectionist, The Eccentric, and The Romantic with works of 78 designers. Due to the collectible design pieces there was a clear gallery vibe and I loved the different moods per room.
The Perfectionist

The Eccentric

The Romantic

Project Materia x Tableau
First of all the setting looked like an extension of the building around it, what looked amazing. Each designer developed 3 objects out of glas, marble and bronze. Presenting big names like Andres Reisinger, Louise Roe, Laurids Gallee, Willem van Hoof, Helle Mardahl, all curated by Julius from Tableau. For me his is like the king of curation.

Other Circle
An event that took place separately from all 3daysofdesign happenings and having its debut, was Other Circle - presenting big names like CC Tapis, New Balance, Apartamento and many more. The location itself - the Lab - was the perfect match with its industrial loft character and creative vibes.
It was great to discover some fresh names and see pieces from emerging designers alongside well-known brands, all curated in a way that blurred the lines between design, fashion, art, and even food.
The whole setting invited you to explore, pause, and interact, like a creative playground.

Part of it was for example Avillafranciska, a Copenhagen-based studio developing jacquard-woven bedding, where they transfer heritage patterns from archives into woven textiles.
Or also 15 minutes of fame showing several different lamps by multiple designers curated by Adorno again, seeing new and familiar names.

Random pieces I loved
Prettiest handles by Australian brand Bankston x YSG
Lounger at Other Circle by Reidar Mester
Tableware by Zanetto as part of Past Forward by Tadaima
Astep lamps, their sustainable thoughts, and especially these foldable lamps with a wood base inside
Helle Mardahl - colorful and creative as always

Glasses and deco objects by Caia Leifsdotter

Basalto Collective from Switzerland featuring works from Mexican designers - finally saw pieces in real life! Especially liked the red lavastone side table.

Very beautiful AND comfy wooden chair by Time & Style
Very cool lamp at Baum und Pferdgarten by designer Kasper Kyster
Talking about color tendencies
I will not go very into detail here, just capture 3 colors that were not possible to overlook.
Brown hues were a thing already last year, but this dark chocolate brown especially on sofas was more than obvious. Here at brands like New Works, Hay or Hem.

And then coming from the previous ice blue to a more grown up version, stronger in shade at brands like Mazo, Bleo and Bottone.

Also dark reds / oxblood were still there, but besides this also bright reds you could see a lot for example at Helle Mardahl, Sancal and Blomus.

For everyone who couldn’t attend I hope this gave you a good impression :) stay strong and hydrated during this current heatwave and the next edition will feature a creative person from Munich.
Perfect round-up!
